Californians Consider Medical Research a Top Priority

As the top ranked state in federal funding for medical, science and engineering research, California is viewed as a model for collaborative efforts among universities, and
public and private organizations. Its residents also recognize the value of being a research leader and are willing to pay for the privilege, according to a Research!America Poll.
Ninety-four percent of Californians say that spending money on scientific and engineering research is important in terms of providing jobs.
