An independent PR counselor in Britain wrote to the Institute of
Public Relations (IPR) questioning its lack of support for the growing
number of sole proprietorship practices there. "Is it not time that
the IPR devoted some of its efforts towards the growing number of solo
practitioners within its industry?," asked David Leck of David Leck

to provide recognition of the role we play in our rapidly changing
