Strategic Struggle

Most PR professionals consider strategic direction to be the most difficult part of their job, according to a new study from Workinpr.com, the PR recruiting and career site.
The survey garnered feedback from more than 1,600 PR pros and journos on the state of PR and the relationship between the media and communicators. Thirty-six percent of PR
professionals reported the strategic direction of their business is the hardest part of their job, versus client management (22%), managing staff and internal issues (25%) and
tactical duties like writing press releases and pitching stories (18%). More information from the survey appears in our special career issue, Nov. 19.
