Senior Director, Global Communications – Digital Strategy and Brand Engagement
As senior director of digital strategy and brand engagement, Dan Kneeshaw is responsible for leading the efforts with Walmart’s digital channels, production and engagement. This includes Walmart’s corporate site, social media handles and WalmartOne (associate engagement platform).
Dan joined Walmart as senior manager for global associate communications in July 2011, supporting our global sourcing organization. He was promoted to director in 2012, and was tasked with leading our associate communications efforts for the Walmart U.S. business.
Prior to joining Wal-Mart, Dan served as manager of communications at Sprint where he specialized in employee communication and new and emerging communications technologies. He spent six years leading the company’s internal enterprise-wide information portal effort, including strategy development, day-to-day operations, governance, content management, user interface development and client management activities.
Dan is a graduate of Missouri State University where he earned both a double major Bachelor of Arts degree (Communications and History) and a Master of Arts in Communications while lettering in both football and baseball. He was a team captain for the Bears baseball team and an All-Missouri Valley Conference selection as an outfielder his senior year.
