Surely bitterness and bile will get a young agency in good graces with potential clients. A soundbite from the release we received from Vancouver-based Karyo Communications, explaining the rationale
behind its decision to launch its own Web design company:
"Two months ago, Karyo Communications received a very clear message from many
of the Web design firms in Vancouver: F** off. Nobody returned their calls.
The salespeople were downright pissy. And the techies flatly stated that, sorry,
any site under $80,000 just 'wasn't their vertical.' Karyo's response? Five50
- its new Web design company specializing in sites between $5,000 and $50,000."
Well, they pretty much said it all. If you want it cheap, it ain't gonna be classy.
