Associate Director of Digital Strategy
Richard Ouyang is responsible for innovating and strategizing integrated social and digital programs that reach across marketing disciplines and technologies for Peppercomm Strategic Communications. He oversees implementation of consumer and enterprise programs both internal and external.
Richard draws on a background that bridges public relations, marketing and advertising. He has worked with a wide range of clients from Tyco Fire & Security, Ernst & Young and FedEx to ABSOLUT Vodka, T.G.I. Friday's, the City of Las Vegas, Best Buy and Baccarat Crystal. Awards include 2011 PR News Digital PR Award – Mobile App Winner, Honeywell UOP Takes Paris Air Show to New Heights; 2011 PRWeek Winner - Consumer Campaign of the Year - ABSOLUT Brooklyn; and 2010 PRSA Silver Anvil Winner- Integrated Communication, Consumer Services - "Roll Over or Get Tough: Giving Customers a Voice on Cable Prices" Time Warner Cable.
Richard's robust experience includes television production and development. He helped pioneer the first advertiser-supported television programming by developing projects including The Restaurant on NBC, Blow Out on Bravo and the Emmy Award winning Johnson & Johnson Spotlight Presentation Series on TNT at Interpublic Group. He started his career in Hollywood at Comcast's E! Network, producing the network's flagship documentary series The E! True Hollywood Story.
An active supporter the NY technology start-up community, Richard sits on the board of Ingk Labs.
