Hoping to attract more meeting and convention business, the state of Rhode Island has hired a new spokesperson: Hasbro's Mr. Potato Head.
Dubbed the official "spudsperson" for the state, the Newport County convention and visitors bureau hopes to differentiate itself from other convention bureaus across the U.S. by letting the well-known children's toy do its talking. No word yet on how Idaho feels about the move.
