Press Release Tip of the Week

Visit PRWeb today and see firsthand how online PR can quickly deliver your message to your best audience.

The press release is not dead

Over time press releases have lost a large portion of their effectiveness. The media has become overwhelmed with the amount of press releases they receive and lack of accurate targeting means they have to cull through piles of releases simply to find ones relevant to their interests.Enter the Internet. The masses have shifted most of their attention away from traditional news and information sources to the Internet. Whether for personal purchases or business decisions, the Internet has exploded into an enormous resource. This has also created a far better venue for press releases. Online press releases are visible to their ultimate audience, the buying consumer or business decision-maker.

Distribution for online press releases requires placement in the search engines, news sites, relevant blog sites and directories, etc. where it can be found by people looking for that very information. It also means providing direct delivery to people who have expressed an interest in the industry, topic, region, company or products referred to in the press release. So don't give up on using press releases just yet. They can be more effective with online distribution than many other marketing and PR opportunities you may be considering.
