9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Per Person Fee $895

Space is limited to 20 PR professionals. Reserve your spot now.

Wall Street—and the financial community in general—speak a special language. To capture media and analyst interest, companies must communicate both factual and bottom line information and a compelling story. This workshop, led by media training strategists at CommCore Consulting Group, focuses on financial communications, teaching you how to tell the story behind the numbers and gain positive coverage for your brands.

This hands-on workshop, limited to 20 PR professionals, will help you craft and deliver messages for a variety of presentation formats:

  • IPOs
  • Road shows
  • Industry conferences
  • Investor & analyst presentations
  • Annual meetings
  • Financial press

Plus, you’ll hear how to craft your messages for social media, including Twitter, blogs, LinkedIn, and other new media platforms.

What we'll cover:

This program employs three elements: communications theory, proven techniques including innovations for improving media interview and general public speaking skills and practical on-camera rehearsals simulating “real world” business and interview scenarios. Our program builds the skills and confidence of the participants.

In this workshop, participants will learn how the “3 Ps”— Preparation, Practice and Passion—can help maintain control and convince their audience, whether it’s employees, the media or the general public. At this workshop, you’ll learn about:

  • The Triangle of Persuasion
  • The Art of the Soundbite
  • Message Mapping ©
  • Bridging Technique-Plus/Minus Worksheet ©

By the end of this workshop, you will learn how to:

  • Frame up and assert control in an interview
  • Broaden skills in communicating concisely in media interviews
  • Strengthen effectiveness in responding to both expected and unexpected questions effectively (clarity, speed, information at hand, etc.)
  • Establish clear, concise and compelling messages
  • Develop methods for responding to adversarial questions
  • Further develop media skills, in particular to achieve more quotes you want in an article and avoid misquotes and negatives
  • Showcase the skills learning in media training that can be applied to any pubic speaking opportunity or internal meeting
  • Build confidence in presenting and communicating with clients and prospects
  • How to coach others for interviews
