PRSA handed out its much-coveted annual awards at last month's World Congress in Chicago. Among the recipients:
Thomas Harris, managing partner of an eponymous PR management, research and consulting firm, who walked away with the 2000 Gold Anvil, PRSA's highest individual award
for a major contribution to the profession.
Bill Adams, associate professor in advertising and PR with Florida International University. He was honored as the 2000 Outstanding Educator in PR.
Rick Kaufman, who garnered the PR Professional of the Year award for his role in leading the Columbine Crisis Communication Response Team following the April 1999
shootings in Littleton, Colo.
