Diane Schwartz is Vice President & Group Publisher of the Media/PR Group at Access Intelligence, a business-to-business publishing company based in Rockville, Maryland with offices worldwide. Diane oversees the editorial, marketing, PR and sales of a rapidly expanding group, whose brands include PR News, Media Industry Newsletter, min’s b2b, min magazine, PR News Press, prnewsonline.com, minonline.com and others. In her 10-year career with Access Intelligence (formerly PBI Media), Diane has launched nearly three dozen newsletters, events, e-media ventures and ancillary products. A 20-year publishing veteran, Diane is a past-president (2005) of the NEPA DC Chapter and has been nominated this year to serve on the NEPA board; she is the chairperson of the American Business Media CEBA Committee and serves on numerous other PR, media and business committees.

Courtney Barnes

Courtney M. Barnes is the Editor of PR News, where she manages editorial content and writes on corporate communications and public relations, with particular expertise digital communications, integration and leadership/management issues. She also edited the PR News 100 Top Case Studies Guidebook and the Digital PR Guidebook. In addition to her writing and editing responsibilities, Barnes moderates PR News Webinars, facilitates the brand’s Thought Leaders Strategic Integration Roundtables, and speaks at industry events.

Barnes is currently the co-editor of PR News’ sister publication min magazine, which is an annual publication that highlights the 21 Most Intriguing people in the publishing industry.

Prior to joining PR News as Editor, Barnes was an associate with Communications Consulting Worldwide, a measurement-based consultancy affiliated with Fleishman-Hillard. She has also worked for Condé Nast Traveler and Washingtonian magazines.

Barnes graduated from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism with a B.S. in journalism and a B.A. in Middle Eastern Studies.
