Americans, who are some of the most mobile creatures on earth, increasingly are relying on local Web searches to help ease them into their new environs, says a recent survey
conducted by Harris Interactive for Yahoo! According to the survey, based on interviews with 2,604 U.S. adults who have relocated within the past year, 91% of the newly moved
found that using the Internet for local searches was helpful in reducing the stress that often accompanies moving (see chart). Other popular search categories for new
movers include: doctors and dentists, supermarkets, home and garden stores, churches and drugstores.
