PR PROFESSIONAL, FORMER KENNEDY, JOHNSON STAFFER DIES

Michael W. Moynihan, who served in both the Kennedy and Johnson administrations and is well known for his PR efforts on behalf of free trade issues, died of cancer Nov. 12 at his home in Kitty Hawk, N.C.

During Kennedy's presidency, Moynihan was the first spokesman for the White House Office of the President's Special Trade Representative and during Johnson's administration, he served as director of the Information Service of the Agency for International Development.

From 1967-1980, Moynihan headed his own PR public relations consulting firm with offices in New York and D.C. (Twiford Funderal Home, 919/473-2449)
