PR BUDGETS UP IN N.Y. AREA

Corporate public relations budgets are up in the New York
metropolitan area, a survey by the New York chapter of the Public
Relations Society of America (PRSA) shows. The survey of more than
800 executives revealed that spending would be split about equally
between corporate programs and marketing support. About 70 percent of
the 75 corporations responding also indicated that they planned to
