PNConsulting Launches New Intranet Program…

One of the (perennial) sore spots for PR is (effective) internal communications, with employees clamoring that they're kept out of the information loop. Not good, since when
things go wrong with the enterprise employees are usually the first line of defense.

Now, in an effort to align all major corporate functions and players are on the same page Porter Novelli Consulting has launched PNPortal, an Intranet communications and
"change management" program. PNPortal brings together all of the major disciplines for the company's portal program: human resources, information technology, finance, operations
and communications. Asked how the service will assist senior PR execs Warren Egnal, senior consultant at PNConsulting, said in an e-mail exchange, "Company Intranets provide
corporate PR directors with one of the most powerful internal communication tools to ensure that company information delivered to external audiences is also received and
understood by employees. Communicating with employees through the front page of the New York Times is both demoralizing and counterproductive to engaging employees in support of
the PR campaign." Contact: Kristen Ewing, Porter Novelli, 212.601.8125
