  • Lisa Kitei leaves post as VP of marketing and communications for the theatrical division at The Walt Disney Co. to join Cahners Business Information
    as SVP corporate communications and PR in New York.
  • Celeste James succeeds Cheryle Robinson as VP communications at National Public Radio in D.C. She is promoted from director of communications/brand
    management.
  • Antonio Cervone is appointed VP communications for the Chrysler Group at DaimlerChrysler AG. Cervone is a Chrysler veteran, but most recently worked for
    General Motors.
  • The Arthur Page Society appoints Paul Basista as its new executive director in New York. He succeeds Bruce Harrison, who will focus his energies on
    consulting. Basista comes to his new position after 14 years as head of the Graphic Artists Guild.
  • EDS names Keith Kuehn VP of online marketing and communications. He was manager of eMarketing strategy for Xerox.
  • Kirsten Hamling leaves position as VP investor relations for the ISP Earthlink to join Denver-based Teletech Holdings, Inc., a provider of b-to-b
    infrastructure services, as VP, investor relations and corporate communications.
  • Eileen Naughton is appointed VP of IR at Time Warner. She was formerly president of Time Inc. Interactive.
  • Rob Argento leaves Middleberg + Associates to join the digital media/broadband production company <kpe> as VP corporate communications.
  • Estee Lauder Companies names Sally Susman SVP global communications. She was most recently VP, worldwide corporate affairs at American Express.
  • Media General, owner of The Tampa Tribune, and Richmond Times-Dispatch, hires Lou Anne Nabhan as VP/director corporate communications.
    Nabhan, who previously was VP/director of corporate communications for Reynolds Metals Co., succeeds Bob Pendergast, who will retire at year's end.
  • Joe Kefauver and Shannon McAleavey both are named directors of government & community relations at Darden Restaurants, the Orlando, Fla.-based
    owner of chains including Red Lobster and Olive Garden.
  • RightsMarket, Inc., a Calgary, Alberta-based business specializing in digital rights management, hires Kerk Hilton to fill a new position as director,
    investor and public relations. He was most recently director of IR and communications for JAWS Technologies.
  • Daniel Sieger is named manager of media relations for the external affairs group at Toyota Motor North America. He was previously VP with the New York
    strategic communications firm Robinson Lerer & Montgomery.
  • Casey Priest is promoted from PR/marketing supervisor to PR director at The Container Store, headquartered in Dallas.
  • Nintendo of America promotes Perrin Kaplan from director of corporate affairs to VP of corporate affairs.
  • Dial Corp. appoints Stephen Blum VP of IR. He was previously director of IR for J.C. Penney and SVP of corporate relations for the Quaker State
    Co.
  • ServiceMagic.com, an online marketplace for local home services, hires Colleen Plummer as director of PR. She previously held various sales, marketing and
    PR positions at Coors Brewing Co.
  • Jeffrey Landis is named manager, media relations of U.S. operations at Sun Life Financial, a Canadian financial services organization. He was formerly
    publicity director for Element Books in Boston.

  • Val Brown joins the Detroit office of Burson-Marsteller as director heading up media relations initiatives for automotive clients. He previously held
    positions with Volkswagen of America and CarMax.
