Online Pitching Plethora

Americans go online for news twice as often today as they did a year ago, and online outlets are surpassing their offline counterparts in some cases, according to speakers at
the Newstream.com seminar.

MSNBC.com attracts five times more viewers than MSNBC cable while USAToday.com is on the verge of besting its offline circulation, said Tara Maitra, VP and general manager of
CNBC/Dow Jones Business Video. As a result, more than 6,000 Internet news sites want and need multimedia content, which PR professionals and corporate communicators are expected
