Unemployment in the U.S. is at a 30-year low (4.1%) but this doesn't mean employees are sitting still. A survey conducted in June by the Society of Human Resource Management estimated a nationwide
voluntary turnover rate of 17%, with the number reaching as high as 25% in larger organizations (those with more than 5,000 employees). More than 40% of HR managers who responded to the survey said the
number of voluntary resignations had increased over the past three years inside their organizations. And we're guessing the averages are even higher in PR circles, where the ambitious and the fickle are
notoriously prone to shop around for better gigs.
