Gold Quill Awards Seeks Entries
The International Association of Business Communicators Gold Quill Awards is now accepting entries. Conducted annually, the awards are IABC's highest honor for programs and projects in the field of organizational communication.
Virtually every facet of the field is recognized including media relations, employee communication, marketing communication, crisis communication and electronic and interactive communication.

Duffey Dominates Awards Market
Duffey Communications won 13 awards in the 1996 Phoenix Awards, a prestigious annual event by the Georgia Chapter of Public Relations Society of America to recognize outstanding public relations and marketing programs.
This year the firm won for its marketing communications programs in both the product and service categories for Polaroid, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, MindSpring and Navision.

LSY's Director Recognized for Drug Abuse Prevention
Ohio Governor George Voinovich has awarded Lord, Sullivan & Yoder's media director Christopher Vlahos special recognition for his efforts in the Partnership for Drug-Free Ohio.

YMCA's Academy of Women Achievers Inducts PR Exec
Diane Perlmutter, chairman of Burson-Marsteller U.S. Marketing Practice has been inducted into the YWCA's Academy of Women Achievers, on of the country's most prestigious honors for professional women.
Created in 1976, the Academy of Women Achievers is comprised of professional women who have demonstrated through their leadership and example, the value of working women.
