New Healthcare PR Firm
A new PR company called HealthCounsel has been developed by two principals of William Silverman & Company, Cleveland. The new venture, based in the Cleveland office, will be headed by Diane Roman Fusco, president, and CEO and Andrew M. Juniewicz, vice chairman.
HealthCounsel will concentrate on healthcare. About eight employees will be devoted toHealthCounsel. The Silverman firm will continue with its PR, corporate communications and crisis counseling and government services work. WEPR Names Social Responsibility Award Winners
Women Executives in Public Relations Foundation awarded its Social Responsibility Crystal Obelisk and Meritorious Recognition Awards. The awards recognize outstanding communications campaigns and efforts to address social issues.
The Crystal Obelisk, given to programs that produced exceptional results, was awarded to "Tanqueray's AIDS Rides" by Schieffelin and Somerset Co.; "Managing Career and Cancer" by Creamer Dickson Basford; "Making Science Make Sense" by The Bayer Corp.; and "Child Vaccination Program" by Chase Manhattan Bank.
The Meritorious Recognition Award, given to companies displaying dedication to community issues, went to Hunter Douglas Window Fashions for its "G.W. Carver Service"; Philip Morris Companies Inc. for its "Domestic Violence Help and Awareness Program"; Sunrise Medical for its "1996 Atlanta Paralympics Sponsorship"; and Farmers Insurance Group for "The American Promise" program. Feinstein Partners: New Name
Feinstein Partners Inc., Cambridge-based communications consulting firm, has changed its name to Feinstein Kean Partners Inc. The firm has also undergone management reorganization, with Peter Feinstein taking on the title of CEO and Chairman of the Board, and Mark King becoming Managing Partner of both Feinstein Kean Partners and its strategic consulting subsidiary, Kendall Strategies. West Glen Communications, a video, audio and multimedia production/distribution company, has opened a client services office in Denver.
