New Magazine targets Gay Professionals

While existing gay magazines like The Advocate and Out tend to focus their coverage on politics and entertainment, Echelon wants to put the spotlight on gay and lesbian
professionals climbing the corporate ladder. The publication, which is expected to launch in early January with an initial circulation of 50,000, will be distributed to the top 10
markets, including New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Detroit. The launch of Echelon follows the October launch of The Out Traveler, targeting gay and lesbian travel.
