New Doctorate Program Takes Pulse of PR…

One of the major knocks on PR is that it tends to be an academic dead end. Without any major post-graduate work in the field, advancing in the PR industry often means getting
an MBA, something many PR execs seem averse to. But now there's an alternative: The Texas Tech University College of Mass Communication has been approved for a doctor of
philosophy in mass communication program by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The program will focus on the integration of different approaches to studying mass
