Five top managers at Orange County, Calif.-based Nelson
Communications Group purchased a majority stake in the firm from its
founder, Robert Nelson.
By purchasing shares for an undisclosed price, the five
executives become partners. Nelson remains chairman, and will
continue working to service clients and develop new business.
The five new partners are: Donna Lucas, president and CEO; Larry
Tenney, executive vice president and general manager of the Orange
County division; Tom Wilck, executive vice president Rick Manter,
executive vice president of the firm's political initiative campaign
division; and Karen Hutchens, executive vice president and general
manager of the San Diego division.
Coinciding with the ownership change, the Sacramento, Calif.,
office of the firm will change its name from Nelson & Lucas to Nelson
