Most Admired Companies (in Social Responsibility)

Fortune's current issue feature's the magazine's annual list of
America's Most Admired Companies. Aside from the top 10 (the usual
suspects, like Dell, General Electric, Microsoft and Starbucks)
companies are ranked by industry. To arrive at each company's score
on the industry list, Fortune averaged its score for eight
criteria: innovation, financial soundness, employee talent, quality
of management, use of corporate assets, long-term investment,
social responsibility and quality of products/services. Here are
the highest scores in social responsibility, an increasingly
important area for PR execs.
