Media Metrics

Research shows that Americans increasingly are turning to the
Web for news and information - 61 percent of Web users consider the
Internet a key source of information, according to a just-released
study from the Center for Communication Policy at UCLA (PR NEWS,
Feb. 10). But with millions of Web sites offering everything from
legitimate news on the War on Terror to less credible reports on
the "first male pregnancy," what are the best outlets for your
news?

To give you a better idea of the outlets and contacts most
sought after by 25,000 of your peers in PR, we asked MediaMap to
share the most frequently-searched online outlets in its database,
as well as the most frequently searched Web journalists.

(Editor's Note: Next week, see our Special Issue on Measurement
for metrics on top Web outlets according to a cutting-edge system
of measuring online exposure.)
