Stories just don't focus on what's happening in professional sports arenas. Highschoolers also the make the cut.

Segment Producer: Josie Kamras, Phone: 212/456-5900, Fax: 212/456-7290 Producers are on deadline every day so press pitches can be made at any time between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Remember mornings are filled with meetings and scheduling. Producer wants all pitches in writing. Absolutely no e-mails! PR plugs need to be something that catches the producer's eye. Also, remember: don't pitch the same story twice and don't pitch the same idea to different producers.
Lifestyle Segment Producer: Meg Parsons, Phone: 212/456-5900, Fax: 212/456-7290 Same as above. Producer prefers PR pitches in writing -- i.e. press releases or press kits. If the story merits immediate attention, you can place a call. Getting a lifestyle story placed isn't that easy since this isn't a category that frequently airs. Much of what is covered is fairly progressive - for instance, what's happening in the gay/lesbian community.
