MEDIA INSIGHT

Latin CEO

200 SE 1st St.

Suite 600

Miami, FL 33131

Miami Business magazine publishers launched LatinCEO magazine in November to focus on the increasing success of Latin American companies (and Latin American CEOs) who do business in the states and overseas. Editors want the corporate world to focus on this group's "concentrated buying and decision-making power" and the fast economic and cultural growth of Latin American enterprises.

Stories seek to offer insights into the business and lifestyle preferences of influential members of this community - the leaders who run Latin America's most successful companies.

Of the 60,000 copies of the English-language publication, 50,000 will be distributed to Latin American countries and 10,000 will be distributed to U.S. CEOs, presidents and heads of Latin American divisions of major corporations (such as Hewlett-Packard).

What To Pitch

LatinCEO features not only information catering to the business sector, but also scoop on what this market segment consumes (e.g., CEOs' favorite restaurants). With that in mind, send pitches highlighting the lifestyle choices and business moves of Latin American CEOs, and CEOs of Latin American companies.

Sections & Content

Portfolio - A front-of-book digest of significant deals that CEOs should be aware of. For example, tow companies merging, or a big Latin American company making a particular investment.

Trends - A section featuring opinions by analysts and consultants about Latin American company trends.

Strategies - Short pieces written by heads of companies about what's going on.

Features - Each issue will contain 3-4 full-length features

Technology - A product-driven section featuring cell phones, personal computers and tools CEOs use.

Lifestyle - A section featuring the non-business preferences of key Latin American business people, such as wines, spirits, personal aircraft reviews, travel destinations and real estate.

Lead time for front-of-book sections (such as Trends and Portfolio) is one month. Other sections (such as lifestyle) have a 2-3 month lead time.

Contacts & Comments

Executive Editor Eddie Dominguez prefers faxed pitches to 305/379-1119. Or, you can send email to [email protected]. No phone calls please!

You can also send pitches to Editor-in-Chief J.P. Faber at [email protected].

As an added bonus, LatinCEO editors also run Miami Business, which entertains pitches about the business world that affects Miami. Hot ticket items include Miami-born Internet entrepreneurs and any personality that makes money.. For Miami Business, the subject or the business doesn't necessarily have to be Latin American.

Both magazines have very little overlap, however, so don't even think about killing two birds with one stone.
