The big editorial egos at some of the national health and fitness magazines make getting ink in their publications a shot-in-the-dark proposition. But MediZine, one of the
largest consumer health magazines in the country, offers a reprieve from that editorial high-horse mentality. This quarterly health and wellness magazine, which reaches an
audience of 8.9 million readers, provides wide open pitching opportunities that range from informational partnerships to targeted distribution programs.

It is distributed to more than 100,000 physician offices and more than 50 drug chains nationwide. It is looking to expand its reach through more aggressive collaborations with
healthcare organizations, pharmaceutical firms and retailers. Key examples include:

  • customized consumer health guides on specific disease topics, which will be distributed via MediZine's "Point-of-Care" network of pharmacies, healthcare provider
    offices and its database; and
  • Internet partnerships with healthcare providers, national and local health associations and sponsors of MediZine.com.

Health Coverage

MediZine's editorial coverage runs the gamut of health and wellness advice and tips. Consumer-focused disease management is a key focus, especially in the areas of
cancer, arthritis, cardiovascular health and diabetes. The American Heart Association was an exclusive editorial partner of its Spring guide.

self-help-focused guidance on cardiovascular health provided by the American Heart Association. Quizzes, recipes and exercise/fitness tips also are sprinkled throughout the
magazine.
