America's Health Network

2500 Universal Studios Plaza

Orlando, FL 32819

If you've got a great story to tell you don't have to beat the door down to get America's Health Network (AHN) producers to consider it. For a refreshing change, this 24-hour health and medical programming network welcomes pitches and is particularly hungry for stories on alternative medicine and cutting edge medical procedures.

AHN reaches 8.5 million households nationwide and hosts a leading health Web site at http://www.ahn.com that has attracted more than three million unique visitors since June. It is best known for being the first to broadcast a live birth and a live open heart surgery on the Web.

Comments

At this point, AHN isn't too inundated with pitches and they welcome more. Most of the programs are shot at AHN's Orlando studio with the exception of "Behind The Mask" and "High on Health," which are shot on location.

In addition to AHN's network opportunities, its Web site offers hospitals and physicians great exclusive coverage. AHN is looking for hospitals to host online procedures and they want to get a good cross section of facilities throughout the country. The subject matter ranges from innovative medical procedures to "behind the scenes" hospital scenarios that show various departments in action, like the ER and pediatric care.
