LinkedIn Redesign Makes Path to Connect Easier

As you log onto LinkedIn in the coming weeks and months, you’ll most certainly notice changes here and there to its profile design.

LinkedIn confirmed a redesign to its profile pages on Aug. 21 and also said it plans to roll out many more changes throughout the rest of the year.

This is part of an overall effort to "simplify" its core products, which includes the recent redesign of its home page and social news product, LinkedIn Today, says Julie Inouye, LinkedIn’s senior manager, corporate communications. “The goal of this effort is to make it easier for LinkedIn members to get more value out of the services we offer to create simpler, more relevant and social experiences—in this case with your profile.”

Inouye says LinkedIn's more user-friendly design will cut down on the visual clutter and make it easier to build connections and share news.
