LA Confidential magazine will make its debut this month (just in time for the Oscars). Publisher Jason Binn (also of slick titles Gotham and Hamptons) says the magazine will be
a lifestyle book, not just a Hollywood mag, focused on Los Angeles, its communities and the people who make up those communities. The premiere issue of LA Confidential offers an
inside look at the Oscar nominees. The new book is not slated to appear again until September, after which it will become a monthly in 2003. (Binn, 646/835-5205)
