Who has replaced Walter Cronkite as the most trusted man in America? NBC newsman Tom Brokaw, according to a viewer survey released by the Council of Public Relations Firms.
Twelve hundred respondents ranked ABC's Peter Jennings a close second and CBS's Dan Rather third. Council President Jack Bergen said that sincerity and a likable, down-to-earth
personality were attributes that most influenced viewer choice.
