Jay Hamilton heads Marriott Global Communications' digital & social media areas. Since joining six years ago, he's repositioned how Marriott communicates with customers, investors and associates. Jay is known as an innovator, a creative strategist, and a pioneer at digital storytelling. As a former Emmy-Award winning network producer/reporter, Jay introduced a "think-like-a-journalist" approach to corporate content development. Before it was called "content marketing," Jay positioned Bill Marriott's blog on Huffington Post. ("Marriott on the Move" is the number one ranked corporate blog by Ragan Communications.) Orbitz travel blog embeds Jay's YouTube hotel videos. And other media outlets have placed Marriott content on its channels. Jay sits on the advisory board of the Council on Competitiveness. He's a guest lecturer at UNC at Chapel Hill School of Mass Communications, and New York University M.S. Degree in PR & Corporate Communications. Under Jay's leadership, Marriott has been selected one of FORTUNE's "Most Admired Companies" and named FORTUNE's "Social Media Superstar."
