You'd never guess Jane Pratt, of edgy titles including Sassy and Jane, is pushing middle age. But she is, and she's identified a new niche for her hip publishing style: women
over 40. Pratt has proposed a new title, Elizabeth (her middle name) to Fairchild Publications, which publishes Jane. The company evidently loves the idea, but due to the current
ad climate, won't be launching it in the near future. Watch for new pitching opportunities for the mature - but still lively - woman in 2003 or 2004.
