Infographic: Best Times to Post on Social Media

As a communicator you may have already discovered through trial and error that there are good times and bad times to post on social media. Depending on your industry, the viewing habits of your audience or the nature of your content, the time of day or the day of the week can be a major factor in how that post is received.

This infographic, courtesy of The Payroll Blog, lists some peak times and poor times for posting on the most popular social media sites. The data backs up some common-sense assumptions. For instance, the best times for posting on Facebook and Twitter are weekday afternoons. The worst times to post on LinkedIn are weeknights from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Examine this infographic closely, and remember to keep an eye on not just what resonates with your audience but when. Sometimes the timing of a social media post can be just as important as its content.
