Study Shows Corporations More Devoted Than Agencies To Web

PR agencies take note: A study, commissioned by The Dilenschneider Group, New York, found that corporations spend more money on Internet PR than do their agencies. It also concluded that corporations make better use of the Internet - maximizing it as a global communications tool.

The survey revealed a divide between PR professionals who understand and use the Internet regularly and those who are unfamiliar with it and, therefore, don't recommend it to clients.

Among the survey findings was the conclusion that 75 percent of the respondents expecting to spend more than $100,000 in Internet-related costs next year are in corporate PR - and 68 percent of those expecting to spend less than $1,000 were agencies. (The Dilenschneider Group, 212/922-0900)
