Ketchum Exec Spotlighted In Working Mother

Ketchum Public Relations earned a splash of PR for itself - not a client - when one of its top female execs was featured on the cover of Working Mother's April issue. Andrea Pace, VP of national media relations at Ketchum's New York office, received some ink in Working Mother's profile on how women are balancing the dual roles of motherhood and careers.

The feature, however, also provides a shot of adrenaline for the profession. It lists marketing communications as one of the top 10 careers for working moms. Rounding out the list were: private and group practice social worker; occupational therapist; registered nurse; physician assistant; network architect; systems analyst; teacher; employee trainer; and financial planner. A Model to Watch: PSB Promotes Its Community Contributions

Padilla_Speer_Beardsley, Minneapolis, came up with an inventive and condensed way to show its community mindedness when it sent out a brochure last week about its philanthropic face.

In the piece, the agency highlights its assistance for two organizations: the Minneapolis Foundation (PSB efforts focused on educating attorneys and financial planners about philanthropy in estate planning); and the Courage Center, an independent living and regional rehabilitation organization headquartered in Minneapolis.

It also included a letter from Chairman and CEO John Beardsley. (PSB, 612/871-8877)
