Birdie on the Wire. GolfNow.com teed off last week, featuring a comprehensive golf course database (courtesy of Golf Magazine), travel packages to cushy resorts, golf news, tips from PGA instructors, product plugs and health/fitness advice. In the near future, site users will be able to preview amenities and weather conditions at more than 17,000 courses, and even book tee times online. Parent company Interactive Reservations, Inc. is seeking to draw additional site traffic by pitching co-branding opportunities to corporations that may wish to feature the site/booking service on their intranets. "A lot of entertaining in corporate America is still done on the golf course," says VP David Nini. Pitch ideas for stories or partnerships to Nini by email: [email protected].
