Creative Rewiring? Word on the San Francisco streets is that former Wired publisher Dana Lyon plans to launch a new magazine title (as-yet unnamed) and Web site, blending
issues of design, aesthetics and culture. "There isn't anything like it, but I think there is some DNA from both I.D. and Wired," Lyon told the San Francisco Business Times.
It's too soon to talk hard pitches - but not a bad idea to start sharpening your Zeitgeist angles. Watch for more details.

Surviving and Thriving. Magic Johnson is lending some promotional magic to help the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) launch its new title, Thrive. The magazine, slated to
debut this summer, will target minorities living with or affected by HIV/AIDS. Content will focus on developing a healthy lifestyle, updates on new drug treatments, alternative
therapies and behavior modification.

Because AIDS affects minorities disproportionately, the book also aims to sensitize healthcare professionals to the cultural needs of minorities living with the disease.
According to the CDC, African-Americans represent 13 percent of the U.S. population, but comprise 49 percent of all AIDS cases. Pitch Ged Kenslea, AHF community relations
