That's Life. Nailing the lid on the coffin of general interest magazines, Time Inc. will pull the plug on Life magazine, its venerable 64-year-old title, this May. The Life
name will continue to brand special issues and books - and tentative plans for a Web-based service are in the works, although specifics have not been determined. The company says
most Life staff members will be placed in other positions at Time Inc. Watch for news about editorial moves in upcoming issues.
Devil Got Details? Condé Nast will suspend publication of Details in May, although Editor-in-Chief Marc Golin (formerly with Maxim) has reportedly left the company already.
The young men's title, which suffered a schizophrenic run of identity changes over the past year, is scheduled to reappear in October under the aegis of Fairchild Publications, a
separate arm of Condé Nast parent company Advance Publications. The resurrected title will be positioned as "the consumer counterpart to DNR, Fairchild's fashion trade newspaper
for men," according to a press release. Stay tuned for revised pitch tips.

Huckster Alert. As we reported March 13, IT Radio Network.com bills itself as "the world's first online audio Webzine dedicated to the personalities and technologies that
drive the new economy." What we didn't report is that the site producers apparently require PR pros to register for the site's "Million Mile Giveaway" as a prerequisite to having
their pitches considered by the editorial committee. "When might you run that story...and did I win the 20-speed blender?"
