including a product testing lab. Joining the new venture as managing editor is John McManus, former San Francisco bureau assignment manager for CNN. Pitch story ideas to him at

A Fashionable Move. CondéNet is gearing up to launch style.com, a Web
site that creators hope will become "the leading fashion authority for women."
Joan Feeney, whose past launches include other hot Condé-properties Epicurious
and Swoon, hits the runway as director. Sister site vogue.com will become an
integral component of the new Web venture. For now, take note that Express (a
division of Limited, Inc.) is the original owner of the domain address, and
will retain control of http://www.style.com until the new site is ready
to strike a pose in early summer. Pitch story ideas to Barbara Knight (212/880-4727
or [email protected]).
