Primedia will no longer publish Teen magazine on a monthly basis. The company laid off all Teen editors, but will continue to publish Teen's popular special editions, such as
Teen Prom and sports- and movie-focused efforts. The company had planned to integrate Teen into its rich group of teenage media outlets (including Teen Beat, Tiger Beat, the
legendary Seventeen and Web resources) as a "younger sister" to Seventeen, but will now pour its resources into the more established title. Subscribers to Teen will begin
