Get Ready for Takeoff: A Google+ Flight Checklist

While it could be a resource drain, Marcy Massura, digital community manager at Weber Shandwick, strongly recommends being prepared for the launch of Google+ brand pages. “This is like heading off on a space flight,” says Massura. “You can’t take off unprepared. You must be primed and ready to go.” To get ready, Massura offers a checklist of what to address now:

  • Build personal profiles that reflect the brand identity 

  • Define your content strategy for the platform

  • Prepare budgets/workforce to manage this new community

  • Practice with new tools (Hangouts, Huddle etc.)

  • Create lists and prepare target Circles
