Get Ready for More Explaining on Executive Pay

The New York Times Special Report on Executive Pay (April 3) was
chock-full of stats on CEO compensation. One nugget: CEOs are still
taking home more pay as jobs continue to disappear. Even so, the
way CEOs are getting paid is changing dramatically. A survey of 200
large companies conducted for the article by Pearl Meyer &
Partners found that -- of the 100 largest companies surveyed --
almost half reported that they had significantly changed the way
they determine executive bonuses while more than a third said they
had made changes in their long-term incentive programs.
