More than 100 colleagues, clients and associates met in Des Moines, Iowa, recently to mark the retirement of William J. Fultz, founder chairman of marcom agency Creswell, Munsell, Fultz & Zirbel. Fultz, who has spent nearly four decades in the advertising business, came to CMF&Z in 1980 as executive vice president and managing director when the agency he owned, Fultz, LaCasse & Associates, was acquired by Young & Rubicam and merged with Cedar Rapids agency Creswell, Munsell, Shubert & Zirbel. Fultz, who retired Dec. 31, will continue as a consultant to the Young & Rubicam affiliate, which has offices in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids and in Raleigh, N.C., and Indianapolis.
