2012 Rising Stars of PR: Naomi Borno

Naomi Borno

Senior Account Executive MSL New York

Naomi Borno works primarily on the Compass Media Team at MSL and is a media relations superstar. She is working to expand P&G's footprint in the multicultural space and was instrumental in helping the My Black Is Beautiful team achieve over 1 billion impressions for its "Imagine a Future” announcement at the Essence Music Festival in July 2012.

She has made outstanding contributions in the digestive wellness space, where she has supported accounts such as Pepto-Bismol, Prilosec OTC and Metamucil. Borno helped lead the Pepto-Bismol account team to a successful second-year partnership with The Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest in July 2011. The national media coverage she was able to secure helped the program achieve more than 1 billion impressions in two weeks.

In November 2011, Borno impressed her colleagues with her media prowess in support of Pepto-Bismol's Feast for All campaign by securing multiple national interviews with spokesperson Eric Stonestreet. She drove major results in top-tier national media, enabling the campaign to achieve 350 million impressions.

In February 2012, Borno scored big at the Super Bowl, she secured nearly 60 media placements on behalf of Prilosec OTC. Spokespersons Anthony Munoz and Larry the Cable Guy were interviewed by outlets such as USA TODAY Radio; FOX Sports; ESPN Radio; Boomer & Carton; Mad Dog; Covino & Rich; and CBS Sports. The overall programs achieved 1.4 billion impressions and many of those placements can be credited to Borno’s relentless effort to keep pitching.
