Fox’s Class Act?

Fox's brand identity has never been particularly associated with the word "quality." But the brand that most folks consider the source for "trash TV" is also viewed as the
highest quality cable news network, according to a new Brand Identity study from Beta Research Corporation. The study shows Fox News is rated high in quality by 68 percent of
respondents, compared with 66 percent for CNN and 56 percent for MSNBC. The numbers for Fox shot up 44 percent in 2001. The network also ranked highest for its on-air
personalities and for "trying new things," beating out CNN by seven percentage points on personalities and by 10 percentage points on innovation. (Beta Research Corporation:
