Filling a Void

The market for a magazine targeted at young, hip Jews is wide open, and Jennifer Bleyer plans to fill the void with the launch of Heeb: The New Jew Review. The mag will print
three times a year, targeting young Jewish adults in their 20s and 30s. Although the title has prompted objection, Bleyer has locked in a $60,000 grant from a conglomerate of
Jewish fellowships backed by Steven Spielberg, among others. Coverage includes articles on Jewish rapper MC Paul Barman, painter Nicole Eisenman and other "interesting Jews."
