In this week's video SpectorPR providers a clip of the late Daniel Edelman, from February 2012. Edelman discusses the value of PR and the future of the business. The major takeaway from Edelman? Companies are no longer satisfied with 30-second advertising spots that lack the storytelling skills that  PR professionals bring to the table.

"PR people have to be able to write, invest themselves, think through a problem, have to handle crises—it's a very demanding field and I'm very optimistic about the business," he said. 



In his memoriam to Edelman, Ned Barnett said that "Edelman is gone, but his legacy will continue to shape the PR field in ways that go far beyond the agency he created."
