PR News Names Matthew Schwartz as Group Editor

Matthew Schwartz

PR News has named Matthew Schwartz the Group Editor for its rapidly expanding brand, which includes the premier industry weekly, prnewsonline.com, PR Press and other information products serving communications professionals.

Previously, Schwartz was a contributing writer at Crain’s BtoB and Media Business magazines and editor of BMA Buzz, a biweekly email newsletter published by Crain Communications and the Business Marketing Association (BMA).

PR News plays a key role in educating and informing communications executives on the tremendous changes engulfing the media industry,” Schwartz said. “I’m eager to get back to covering the PR industry and being part of the publication growth efforts.”

Schwartz, who was editor of PR News from 2003-2005, will be responsible for managing the editorial content for the publication’s weekly newsletter, website and guidebooks, and will work closely with Steve Goldstein, editorial director of PR News events, and Scott Van Camp, editor of PR News, to serve the PR audience with market-leading products and services.

“Matthew is an excellent journalist with tremendous marketplace knowledge that will help us take PR News to new heights this year and beyond,” said Amy Jefferies, associate publisher and brand director of the PR News Group. “We are delighted to have Matthew back on the PR News team.”

Schwartz is based in the company’s New York office and can be reached at mschwartz@accessintel.com. Follow him on Twitter, @mpsjourno1.
